    Hello fellow scrappers....
I am so fusterated with my album selections lately. I have a K & Company one that is all apart and almost took a ride out my window this weeknd. I always make to many pages that I need extra page protectors and they never look right with the spacers, I can never get the binding to look right and I am very fusterated.
What kind of albums do you use? What do you find to be the best for a lot of pages with many memories on each one. I use only 12x12 albums and in the past I have tried K & Company. S.E.I, Creative Memories and I believe one from Joann Fabrics.
    Thanks!

I have the same problem and I've tried so many types! They just don't seem to go back together right when you take them apart and add pages and I just can't seem to cut down on the pages I want to put in the albums either!!! Ahhh! I share you're frustration girl!

Pioneer and The Perfect Scrapbook by Colorbok are my favs. I like the books with three posts and the back spine thing that slips in and out of the cover, not one with the holes that you attach with the posts, they never look good on the book case.

I have replaced some of my 2 post album posts with the snapload binding system things - see below. Pioneer also make an album with those insted of posts. These are nice cause you can get them fairly tight.

As for the spacer problem. Get rid of the cardboard and get some of that craft foam stuff and cut into strips.

I've had the same problem. I started with Creative Memories and didn't like to have to trim the papers, plus buy pages and protectors. I'm been using Pioneer lately and do like them. They are sold in lots of places, so refills are easy to find. I just purchased a 3 ring album on our trip to Disneyland, I'm curious how well it works. Good luck and I bet most of us have been there one time or another.

I was going to suggest a 3 ring binder.

Thanks...I wondered about the Colorbok albums, I might try that out. I can never get the cardboard spacers to look good either never thought of the foam.

Thank you all for the share of fustration! I am glad to know I am not the only one out there that gets that way

I buy whatever I find on sale the snaplocks work pretty good you can fit more pages. probably the ones with three posts are better. I don't use my cardboard dividers they don't seem to do mu ch for me

I agree with the person who said the Pioeer albums. I buy mine from ArchivalUSA (they have a website by the same name). And if you're looking for great page protectors that will hold pages with lots of embellies, look for American Craft brand.

over at michaels there is a brand of refills called WT, Westrim Crafts. It has black on the description page. Those seem to fit different books a lot better...i rarely have issues with them fitting...and i am not particular to a brand.

    good luck!

I personally will not go back to any other kind of album than a 3-ring. They hold soooo many pages flawlessly. I bought this one to replace one of my post bound albums & love it. Some people don't like the fact that there's so much space in between their pages when opened up. But for me it's not that big of a deal, even though I do alot of 2-pagers.

Let us know what you decide to do!

I am very picky. I always do 2 page spreads and I want them to meld in the middle, so mine has to be a tight fit in the middle. I do not keep the little spacers in the book. Takes up too much room. I fill my books full!!! I use the screw post, but am really looking into the replacement strap. My suggestion: Just play and learn.

You want D-Ring albums. No stupid posts to come apart, and they hold a lot more layouts, even bulky layouts. It's also super-easy to add, remove, and rearrange layouts in them. I use the KMA albums; great quality and affordable price. I've also linked some others below. They're available in lots of different colors.

I never liked the look of the D ring albums but now that I have used a couple, I will probably never go back to a post-bound album.

I have been looking at those D-ring albums, that might be a possibility. I appreciate all the information, I have alot to choose from. Looks like I will be busy the next few days!

I use Pioneer albums because I can use the Joanne coupon-even though they are often on sale. I also like the fact that I can buy refills and other parts that are from the same brand.

Oh, I sooooo agree with this. I cannot STAND postbound or strap hinge albums, and I'm sure it's all USER ERROR because I am all thumbs when it comes to putting those things back together. I only use 3 ring now, and I will never go back!! I also am not bothered by the space in the middle, even though I do lots of 2-pagers. The only thing I don't do is cut a photo down the middle to spread across the 2 pages...but I never really cared to do that anyway.
    OK, I didn't mean to go on a tear--sorry!!!

I hate the post bound albums. Strap aren't any better IMO. I will continue to use the 3 ring binders. If I want to change the order, add a page or remove one to fix, it's easy. As for the space, no one pays attention to space. Heck, they hardly appreciate your work let alone your mistakes! I know when it comes to my work, I'm my own worst critique!
